Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information KoneKita collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: June 27, 2026

1. Who we are

KoneKita is a community platform associated with SK Santolan that helps people discover local jobs, businesses, products, services, announcements, and community opportunities. It also enables users to communicate, apply for jobs, place orders, request bookings, and manage related transactions.

In this policy, “KoneKita,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the KoneKita platform and its authorized administrators.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details, such as your name, email address, phone number, username, and account role.
  • Profile and eligibility details, which may include your address, residency, birth date, gender, civil status, education, employment, income, identification type, skills, and other registration information.
  • Business, service-provider, and employer information, such as organization names, addresses, contact details, descriptions, schedules, products, services, job posts, and uploaded images.
  • Content and transaction data, including applications, messages, orders, bookings, reviews, feedback, notes, and status updates.

Google account data

If you choose “Continue with Google,” KoneKita receives the basic account information that Google makes available for authentication, such as your Google user identifier, name, email address, and profile photo. We use this information only to sign you in, create or connect your KoneKita account, prefill registration details, protect account access, and communicate about your account. KoneKita does not request access to your Google password, Gmail messages, contacts, Drive files, or other Google content through Google Sign-In.

Technical information

We may process device and browser information, authentication events, error and security logs, notification tokens, and basic usage information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

3. How we use information

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts.
  • Provide profiles, listings, search, matching, messaging, applications, bookings, orders, and reviews.
  • Send account, application, transaction, message, safety, and service notifications.
  • Support users, investigate reports, prevent fraud or misuse, and enforce platform rules.
  • Maintain, analyze, and improve KoneKita’s reliability, accessibility, and features.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect users, administrators, and the community.

Google user data is used only for the purposes described in this policy. We do not sell Google user data or use it for targeted advertising.

4. How information is shared

  • Public profile and listing information is visible to users as necessary for discovery and interaction.
  • Applications, messages, orders, and bookings are shared with the users or organizations involved in that interaction.
  • Authorized KoneKita administrators may access information for support, moderation, safety, and account management.
  • Service providers, including Google Firebase and hosting, authentication, storage, database, and notification providers, process information on our behalf to operate the app.
  • Information may be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent harm, fraud, or a security incident.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

5. Storage, retention, and security

KoneKita primarily uses Firebase services to authenticate users and store application data and uploaded content. Information may be processed on systems located outside your city or country, subject to the safeguards of the relevant service provider and applicable law.

We retain information while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and safety records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

You may review and correct editable profile information in KoneKita. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or other action regarding your personal information by contacting us. Requests may be subject to identity verification and lawful record-retention requirements.

Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), data subjects may have rights to be informed, access and correct information, object to certain processing, request erasure or blocking, obtain data portability where applicable, and raise a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

You can disconnect KoneKita from your Google Account through your Google Account security settings. This stops future Google sign-in authorization but does not automatically delete information already stored in your KoneKita account; contact us if you also want to request account-data deletion.

7. Minors

If you are a minor, use KoneKita only with the consent or supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law and community-program rules. Guardians may contact us regarding a minor’s data.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when KoneKita’s features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be announced in the app.
